“Supporting Gratitude’s mission ultimately reinforces the foundation laid by those who safeguard our freedoms,” articulated Sandra Wang, our esteemed “Friend of Freedom” award recipient for Q1 2024.
“My husband and I share our home with a vibrant family of four, spanning two distinct species: a 10-year-old son, a 5-year-old daughter, a 10-year-old American Foxhound, and our newest addition, a lively 9-month-old Border Collie.” From this description of her family as ‘two species,’ it’s evident that animals hold a special place in Sandra’s heart. True to form, she is the proud owner of ‘Fetch!,’ a pet care service in Charlottesville.
“In my previous professional chapter, I immersed myself in the visual realm of content marketing. A local consumer product company recruited me to lead their Creative team. After dedicating 11 years to this role, I decided to pivot, aligning with my profound passion for animal welfare. In late 2021, I purchased the Fetch! franchise,” Wang shared.
The range of services offered by Fetch! encompasses puppy care, dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight care. Notably, Fetch! extends special discounts to our military, police, and first responders. Wang emphasized, “We actively support organizations like Gratitude C-ville through sponsorships and by disseminating information to our clients within the military and police forces.”
Wang holds a deep-seated appreciation for the military and police, stating, “We owe our freedom and safety to our dedicated military and police forces. They willingly put their lives at risk every day, ensuring we have the freedom to stroll our dogs on safe streets, enroll our kids in exceptional schools, and pursue our dreams.” Her passionate advocacy underscores the profound importance of acknowledging and supporting those who safeguard our collective well-being.
