“Showing gratitude and respect for our service members is crucial for our collective morale and unity,” explains Errett Adams, the Q3 Friend of Freedom award winner. “It also feels rewarding to be part of a cause aimed at a higher good, guiding one’s daily life.”

Errett was selected partly for his enthusiastic support of Gratitude’s Flag Placement Program, where he assists in planting flags in Glenmore on Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, September 11th, and Veteran’s Day. This is just one of his contributions to the local veteran community.

“Every Memorial Day, I volunteer with the Boy Scout troop I earned Eagle Scout with, to place flags at the gravestones of our fallen service members in Charlottesville, showing respect to those who gave their last full measure.”

Errett’s grandfather, Bill Adams, a resident of Glenmore, served as a Colonel in the Navy. “I support the military not only because of my family’s deep connection but also because they make our way of life possible. They provide us with security, safety, and stability that we often take for granted. They sacrifice in ways we cannot fully comprehend so that we can enjoy the freedoms in this great country. We owe every service member, past, present, and future, a great debt of gratitude.”

The mission of Landscapology, Errett’s company, is to deliver premium lawn care and landscaping services with a focus on attention to detail and professionalism. “I founded this company because there’s nothing else I’d rather do. It’s my passion and my way of contributing to our community.”

Errett’s dedication to veterans isn’t occasional—it’s constant. “Whenever I encounter a service member, I always express my gratitude for their service and sacrifice. It’s the least I can do for those who safeguard our freedoms every day.”

Each quarter, “The Freedom Fund” Board of Directors will choose a FOF award winner to be featured on Gratitudecville.com.  To nominate person or organization that promotes and protects freedom in our community, email us at info@gratitudecville.com.
