We are a small, veteran owned farm that welcomes families and individuals who wish to spend time with animals in a small, quiet (well, sort of!) farm environment. Activities on the farm are created to enhance communication skills, positive interactions, and developing the human-animal connection. Visitors get a hands-on experience with the animals including goats, pigs, sheep, ferrets, dogs, and a hedgehog. We also offer a mobile petting zoo that we bring to you for your events.

Pickle Meadows Farm is also the home of GOAAT Educational Services. MJ provides a non-traditional approach to academic tutoring for children and teens who need additional academic support. She has been working with children and families for almost 30 years as an educator. She is a certified teacher in Virginia and holds certifications in Animal-Human Health and Autism. She has a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Bachelor's Degree in Learning Disabilities. Her unique approach integrates academic tasks with activities with animals which is a natural motivator and brings the joy back into learning.
