“The Freedom Fund” is proud to announce ParadeRest Virginia as the May 2020, “Friend of Freedom” award winner.
ParadeRest Virginia, a local non-profit expressing gratitude to our military, their families, and veterans, recently overcame the great challenge of the Coronavirus Pandemic. When faced with possibly postponing or worse, cancelling their 10th Annual June 4 Our Freedom 5K Run/Walk fund raiser, their Board elected to make it a “VIRTUAL EVENT”. During the entire month of June, at any time or day or location, participants can run or walk a 5K. Participants have the option of reporting their time, and if they want, posting photos of their experience on the race website: https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/Charlottesville/4OurFreedom5K.
The 4 Our Freedom 5K provides critical financial support to local organizations who directly serve our military, their families, and our veterans who live in the central Virginia region. Importantly, participants can also run/walk in memory of a “Fallen Hero”, either a local member of our Charlottesville community or a family member who died while serving in times of war.

Each month, “The Freedom Fund” Board of Directors will chose a FOF award winner to be featured on Gratitudecville.com. Winners will get a trophy and sometimes a monetary award.
